After 10+ hours of tedious labor, dave and me finally finished our halloween costumes: The Ghillie Suits...hehe. Let me give you a brief history on the origins of the word "ghillie." This is not what the suit is, its just where the idea came from. Ghillies were men in Scotland hired by their landlords to go out and catch animals alive and bring them back to castle so the landlord could have a mock hunt. They achieved this by dressing up like bushes and the surrounding environment and they laid low until an animal was nearby. These types of suits are in use during modern times by the military and its snipers. Dave and me made these suits (look up "ghillie" on google and pick images) and had sooooo much fun saturday scaring the shit out of drunk people going to and fro parties. We would just crouch near bushes and as people would walk by all we would do is stand up, and they would FLIP A SHIT! Aww man, good times...good times....
